A project that reconnects people with the waterways running through their cities, starting with the Dâmbovița river. Often overlooked, the river becomes a stage, a laboratory, and a meeting place where art, memory, and everyday life intersect.
At the heart of the project lies "Sirens on Dâmbovița", the first Romanian theatre production ever performed on water, in Bucharest.
Alongside it, DJ sets, guided tours and public debates transform the riverbanks into spaces of exploration, dialogue, and discovery. The initiative takes cues from personal stories of freedom, loss, and rediscovery, letting the river carry fragmented narratives that ripple between memory, place, and people.
The project starts from personal stories of freedom, loss, and rediscovery, with the river becoming the stage for these fragmented narratives - a space that comes to life through the connection between memory, place, and people.
